Introduction

LibiViaInvertedIndex is a C++ library that provides a set of classes and functions for creating fast inverted indexes. LibiViaInvertedIndex was developed by the iVia Project, and is distributed under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). LibiViaInvertedIndex is built on top of libiViaCore and contains support for:

• Creating word level indexes (see InvertedIndex).
• Searching inverted indexes (see InvertedIndexSearch).

This library depends on the libiViaCore library. Many people who install this software will do so in conjunction with iVia, DataFountains or the Nalanda iVia Focused Crawler. Since libiViaInvertedIndex is Free Software, you are welcome to reuse the code, in whole or in part, in other projects in accordance with the LGPL.

Installing libiViaInvertedIndex instructions are on this website as well as in the INSTALL file located in the distribution tarball. The GNU Lesser General Public License is in the COPYING file. Documentation is in the share/doc directory.
